Facebook Places

For those who carry a smart phones and using Facebook, will soon able to check-in your locations. Facebook launch this platform with other partners like Foursquare.

The new feature is called Facebook Places. Sharing your whereabouts with friends is its main focus.

Facebook Places was created with three goals:

1) Helping people share where they are
2) Seeing who else is around you
3) Seeing what's going on around you

Having the privacy concerns in the past, Facebook has tried to make the right balance in Places and has let users use difference of tools to control what location information they wanted to share, and with whom.
